Kathy Vaillancourt is a painter focusing on individual and equine portraiture and narrative, multifigure scenes of Americans at work, rest and play. In her work she is inspired by capturing the elusiveness and joy found in ordinary moments. She has studied at the DeCordova Museum, Art Students League, Grand Central Academy and the New York Academy of Art. She is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico and New York City.
